Changes to British citizenship applications from children born of surrogacy arrangement

If you are applying for registration as a British citizen for a child born of a surrogacy arrangement you must include a covering letter confirming that the child was born as the result of a surrogacy arrangement, UK Border Agency has said.

You must also write the words 'Surrogacy case' across the top of your application form. UK Border Agency warned that your application may be delayed if you do not follow the correct procedure.
