Changes to UK visa application centres overseas announced

UK Visas & Immigration has announced that from 1st April 2014 new commercial partner contracts will come into effect.

The commercial partners run more than 300 visa application centres overseas on behalf of UK Visas & Immigration.

“We are working closely with existing and new commercial partners to ensure a smooth transition for our customers,” UK Visas & Immigration said. “From February, in order to support this move, we will be making a number of changes to the visa services that we offer our customers overseas.”

UK Visas & Immigration said the changes will lead to an increase in the number of visa application places worldwide. “In some locations opening hours will be reduced, while customers at lower volume visa application centres may be charged for their services,” UK Visas & Immigration said.
