Check latest code of practice, UKBA tells employers

Checking up to help employer verify skill level, apt pay

2nd March 2010: The UK Border Agency has asked the employers must check the latest version of the codes of practice to check the skill level and appropriate pay for that job.

The Agency has asserted checking up with the code is also necessary to find out where the job must be advertised in the UK before it can be offered to a migrant worker. All this is to be done before the issuance of a certificate of sponsorship.

The Agency has elaborated that the quarterly updates to the codes of practice for sponsored skilled workers have already been published and must be used if an employer wants to sponsor a migrant worker from outside Europe under Tier 2 or Tier 5 of the points-based system. The details are available on the official website of UKBA.
