Contacting British Embassy in China by email

UK visa applicants in China are advised to provide an email address from a globally recognised email account such as Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo to ensure that the visa section of the British Embassy in China can contact them (if needed) during the processing of their visa applications.

The visa section of the British Embassy in China is unable to send emails to, or receive emails from 126.com, 163.com and yeah.net email addresses.

If you have submitted an application to travel to the UK you may also need to attend an interview and the invitation will be sent to you by email. You should ensure that you provide a personal email address such as Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo to ensure you receive the Embassy’s emails.
