New UK visa and immigration fees now effective

The new UK visa, immigration and nationality application and service fees have come into effect.

Short-term visitor visa and most work, study and settlement application fees have been increased by 4%.

The UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) said the fee increases will allow them to continue to improve their customer service and ensure that those who benefit most from the immigration and visa service meet more of the costs.

The application fee for Visit visa (short up to 6 months) has been increased from £80 to £83.

The Extended Student visit visa (between six and 11 months) has been increased from £144 to £150; while the Settlement fee has been increased from £851 to £885.
