South Koreans admitted to youth mobility visa scheme

The UK Border Agency at the visa application centre in Seoul will accept Tier 5 (Youth mobility scheme) visa applications from South Korean nationals from 6th August 2012.

The youth mobility scheme visa allows those eligible South Koreans aged between 18 and 30 to live and work in the UK for up to two years.

If you wish to apply for a youth mobility scheme visa you must first meet the eligibility requirements and register for a 'certificate of sponsorship' through the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade website between 09:00 on 16th July and 18:00 on 20th July.

An allocation of 500 'certificates of sponsorship' will be made available.

Once you have confirmation of a 'certificate of sponsorship', you will then be able to apply for a youth mobility scheme visa. You must apply within three months of receiving confirmation of your certificate of sponsorship, before it expires.

You will receive further details on how to make your youth mobility scheme visa application in South Korea when you receive confirmation of sponsorship.

Information and guidance on the Tier 5 (Youth mobility scheme) visa and what documents are required to support an application can also be found on this website.
