If you are planning to come to the UK, you must be tested for tuberculosis if you are coming here for more than six months and are a resident of Kenya, Eritrea, Somalia or South Sudan.
The TB test be carried out at an International Organisation for Migration (IOM) clinic approved by the Home Office.
Please note that the Home Office will not accept a tuberculosis test certificate from a clinic they have not approved.
The following categories of people don’t need a TB certificate
- If you are a diplomatic passport holder travelling on official business or on a posting to the UK
- If you fall under a visa exemption category or applying for a certificate of entitlement
- If you are a returning resident to the UK
The following is the only approved clinic in Kenya. There are no approved clinics in Eritrea, Somalia or South Sudan so if you’re from one of these countries, you’ll need to travel to Kenya to be tested.
