18th September 2008. The official and the first ever Miss West Africa is set to hit London’s elegant Porchester Hall on 8th November with a line up of top guests including celebrity guests, high commissioners and beauty queens from Africa and UK.
Top celebrity designer Yemi Osunkoya is set to showcase his collection at this prestigious event amongst other designers.
Miss West Africa 2008 is set to be the largest beauty pageant of 2008 celebrating all West African women all around the world by combining beauty, brains and philanthropy.
The pageant was founded to promote a positive image of West Africa by creating awareness of the social, cultural, wealth and the beauty within West Africa.
The prestigious show will be hosted by award winning comedian Eddie Kadi with a line up of talented musicians, African cultural dancers and an exclusive fashion show courtesy of Confidence Models Management and Miss East Africa UK beauty pageant.
Miss West Africa beauty pageant aims to create positive role models, future world leaders and goodwill ambassadors. The winner will walk away with cash prize amongst other gifts and will act as the spokes person, advocate and most importantly an ambassador for various West African charities. Contestants are from the following countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Gambia, Togo, Niger, Mali, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, Corte d’ Ivoire, Liberia and Benin.
