Party nights for the Polish community

A new pub comes out with popular party nights for the local Polish community.

29th July 2009: The Polish community has a reason to cheer. They can look forward to nice evenings of Polish food, fun and frolic.

For a new pub is raising a toast to the concept of organizing popular party nights for the local Polish community.

If you missed it, here’s the info: The organizers contacted members of the polish community through the Facebook and Polish websites. And then, the White Hart in New Haw Road threw the Polish bash on Saturday. It had all the ingredients of a perfect party evening: Polish food and even Polish songs.

Giving details of the bash, landlady Miriam Collins said they put on Polish food and ales; and sang Polish drinking songs.

Available information suggests 60-year-old Collins has owned the pub for two decades and employs two Polish barmaids. She said they were celebrating St. George’s day and St Patrick’s day and also the Polish days.

To begin with, they celebrated the first night in January, which was the national Polish day. It was a hit, so they decided to do it again.

Collins believes all the Polish people she has employed are hard working, motivated and reliable; and the members of the community were all charming.
