Winners of the Scottish Curry Awards 2014 unveiled

More than 500 people attended the 7th annual Scottish Curry Awards 2014 in Glasgow on 28th April.

Scottish Curry Awards 2014This year’s awards ceremony was an extremely tight contest with over 9,000 nominations from all over Scotland.

“To be amongst such passionate people who love what they do is truly inspiring. The Scottish Curry Awards aims to recognise that dedication,” said Yasmin Mahmood, Operations Director of event organisers Oceanic Consulting. “It was a fantastic evening and I would like to thank everyone for attending and a big thank you to our sponsors. Congratulations to all our winners and finalists, and I hope to see you next year.”

The glam ceremony was hosted by award winning Scottish radio personality Gina McKie. Guests were treated to a special performance by writer, actor and comedian Omar Raza and dance group Bollyfeat.

The event also raised £5,000 for the official charity partners The Well Foundation.
