Brixton Reel Film Festival to explore diversity

Brixton Reel Film Festival will take place from 23rd to 28th October 2012.

This is an annual event dedicated to working with diverse local communities.

This year’s event is dedicated to celebrating World Mental Health Day.

The event will feature the best new films and arts, and along the way explore positive images of mental well-being and self-empowerment.

This year's programme includes African-Caribbean, South Asian, Spanish speaking, Somali and Ethiopian films and events. Everyone is welcome.

Now in its 4th year, Brixton Reel Film Festival will expand beyond Lambeth to also take place in Southwark, with a Spanish speaking event called 'Viva La Vida en Peckham'.

All screenings and events are FREE and several events include FREE food from different cultures. It is going to be popular so it is recommended that you book in advance on the venue phone lines, online, or pop into the venues to book.
