Sarah Sayeed brings Brix Lane Remixed night on 31st July

To perform with live band ‘SLO BURN’

21stJuly 2010 : Singer, MC and lyricist Sarah Sayeed, who also spearheads an independent record label and production company Sister Elements, is launching a new innovative night called `Brix Lane Remixed’ on Saturday 31st July 2010.

The show will begin at 8 pm and is scheduled to continue till 1 am. The venue is Rich Mix Centre, 35 – 47 Bethnal Green Road, London, E1 6LA. The tickets are available at £5 for  advance and  £7  for door.

 On the night, she will be performing with her full live band SLO BURN, presenting work from her single EP ‘Black IS…’ and new collaborations from 2010.

The night will also feature two of the UK’s finest DJ’s – DJ EXCALIBAH (BBC 1 Xtra, The Blacks) and DJ BADESHI (Other Brother Records, BBC Asian Network, Future Friction) who will be spinning the finest in Hip Hop, Soul, Motown, Funk, Dub, Drum ‘n’ Bass and Indian Electronica.

 Sayeed is one of UK’s most experimental and exciting female Hip – Hop artists, who has a soul-inspired singing voice.

She first broke thorough after her music was featured on the Homegrown podcast presented by Ras Kwame on BBC 1 Xtra. BBC Radio 1 DJ, Bobby Friction (Future Friction) had also described her “as a 360-degree conscious artist”.

 The singer has developed her skills as a live performer as well as a studio artist over the last six years. She has been extensively touring the UK, Europe and the US. Sayeed has spent quality time in the studio working with unique producers from London, Manchester, San Francisco and Toronto.

 SARAH SAYEED continues to develop as an international artist by working on projects such as the 2010 Sydney Hip Hop Theatre Festival in Australia.

Other artists will include: Shameless one of UK’s most exciting hip hop artists, who will be performing with a full live band

Anarkali Elektra will be playing the best in Indian film songs, Reggae, Dub, Ska and Lovers Rock. Tim Adams a Canadian musician based in the UK, will be doing an acoustic guitar set

and Ava Bee will be performing her song Fallen Angel. Brix Lane remixed will be hosted by Unique.

 SARAH SAYEED is continuing to build her existence and reputation in the music industry as an artist to watch out for in the future and is currently in the middle of negotiating and signing a worldwide online distribution deal.

 Many artists have influenced SARAH SAYEED including Roxanne Shante, Tribe Called Quest, Blondie, Marvin Gaye and Madonna.
