An announcement to this effect has been made by Saregama. Kailash will cover the four UK cities with his band Kailasa, performing crowd favourites like ‘Allah Ke Bandey’, ‘Teri Deewani’ and ‘Saiyyaan’, as well as Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan classics such as ‘Sanu Ek Pal Chain Na Ave’ and ‘Ishq Ka Rutba’.

The best part of the UK concerts will be a showcase of songs from their new album ‘Rangeele'. Since its release on the Saregama music label on 10th January 2012, ‘Rangeele’ has garnered positive reviews and admiration from Kailash’s huge fan following in India and abroad.

The world tour will make a pit stop in the Netherlands during the UK tour before moving on to the United Stated, Canada, Surinam and Trinidad amongst other Caribbean countries.

A revered Indian singer, he is also a lyricist and a composer whose prodigious vocal gifts, poignant writing and inspiring personality have made him a household name across the globe. Formed in 2004, Kailasa is made up of Kailash and brother duo Naresh and Paresh Kamath.

Kailash’s rich, powerful voice has earned him comparisons to Pakistani legend Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, but his populist approach and knack for writing catchy hits with his band have helped him bridge the divide between traditional and contemporary styles. Since 2001, his credits include over 60 different film soundtracks and nearly two hundred jingles, plus stints as a judge on popular television shows, such as Indian Idol, IPL Rockstar and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs.

“Music isn’t just about shallow entertainment. It’s about depth, enlightenment and bringing hope and happiness to humanity,” says Kailash Kher. And, Rangeele is no different.

Kailash’s fourth album in conjunction with his band Kailasa, it boasts of 11 original tracks that are about discovering love from different perspectives. The album has been produced by Kailasa’s founder members, Paresh and Naresh Kamath and penned and composed by Kailash at the Kailasa studios Mumbai.

A two minute narration by legendary Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan in the song ‘Dharti Pe Jannat Ka Nazara’ and a vocal contribution from Kailash’s toddler son Kabir in ‘Samvaad (Hudkaan Maan Bitti)’ are amongst the album’s highlights.

“Saregama is proud to partner with Kailash Kher on the release of Rangeele and guarantee it will bring listeners much pleasure. We also look forward to hearing the songs from the new album being performed live during Kailash’s highly anticipated forthcoming UK tour in April 2012,” adds Amarpal Singh Gaind, Saregama PLC, Head of Operations – Europe.
