Young voters to speak out on immigration at Open Generation Platform

Migrants Rights Network is launching a forum to enable young voters express themselves on immigration.

Open Generation PlatformWith the EU elections fast approaching, the Open Generation Platform will amplify the voices of young people under-30.

You are invited to the Open Generation Platform event to be held at UNISON Centre, 130 Euston Road, London NW1 2AY, on 3rd April 2013, from 6pm – 9.30pm.

The event will explore young people’s attitudes, concerns and opinions on immigration and free movement and feature four short commissioned films by young filmmakers.

Speakers will include: Owen Jones – Columnist and author; Dom Anderson – NUS; Kiri Kankhwendeis – Media Diversified; Marc Kidson – British Youth Council; Eliza Galos – Researcher on East European communities; Dan Goodwin – UNISON; Simon Mole and Deanna Rodger – Award winning spoken word artists.

The event will also be live streamed at with three fringe events taking place at the same time in: GLASGOW: Strathclyde University, 16 Richmond St, G1 1XQ; SHEFFIELD: University of Sheffield, Western Bank, S10 2TN; and BOURNEMOUTH: Talbot Campus, Fern Barrow, BH12 5BB.
