18th June 2010:
If you are an immigrant from a background where all sex talk is a taboo, you may soon find yourself imparting lessons in sex to your kids as less as five years old.

For a British health watchdog has recommended that children as young as five should be given lessons in sex and relationships.

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence says good quality classes on sex, relationships and alcohol can go a long way in helping the young understand the perils and effects of their actions. It will also help them resist peer pressure.

The recommendation came after research showed 40 per cent of young people rated sex education in their school as poor or very poor.
