He has given the British-Bangladeshi community reason for great pride when on 22nd September 2011, the Law Society published his name in the shortlist of the high-achieving lawyers of England and Wales for their prestigious "Law Society Excellence Award 2011".
Under the category "Legal Executive of the Year", Mr Khan ranked third among the top seven Legal Executive Lawyers for demonstrating his outstanding skills to innovate and to deliver work of the highest quality despite the challenging economic climate.
This is the first time a lawyer from Bangladeshi origin achieved this prestigious recognition. Bangladeshi Barrister Muid Khan was highly appreciated for his significant contribution in the legal field.
Law Society’s Excellence Awards are the leading awards for the profession in the legal calendar. The Excellence awards recognise and reward the most outstanding and dynamic practitioners in the legal professions. Awards are also presented to the individuals judged to have made the greatest personal contributions and positive impact on the perception of the profession, in the categories of Legal Executive of the Year.

Over 600 top legal professionals of England & Wales joined the President of the Law Society John Wotton at the awards presentation ceremony at Old Billingsgate on 18 October.
During the awards ceremony, presented BBC Broadcaster Mishal, Husain Barrister Muid Khan was honoured jointly by the Law Society of England & Wales, Bar Council & ILEX by giving him their joint prestigious award “Advocacy in the face of Adversity 2011” from among all the Black & Asian Barristers, Solicitors, Fellows of ILEX and other lawyers of the United Kingdom and Wales.
Once again, this was the first time the awards was given to a Bangladeshi Barrister. Barrister Muid Khan won this prestigious legal award In April 2011, for his significant contribution in the field of human rights, domestic violence and Immigration Rules.
“British-Bangladeshi Who’s Who 2011” has recognised Mr. Khan’s outstanding achievement in the diverse legal field and chosen his profile for their 2011 edition as “one of the most successful and recognised figures in the British Bangladeshi community.
Barrister Muid Khan is the second son of late Prof. A.N.M. Abdul Mannan Khan, Ex-chairman and Senior Professor of the Department of Arabic, University of Dhaka. In November 2005, Mr. Khan was called to the English Bar as a Barrister-at-Law by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn after the successful completion of Bar Vocational Course (BVC) from the Inns of Court Schools of Law (ICSL), City University. Mr. Khan is also a Qualified Executive Lawyer of the prestigious Institutes of Legal Executives (ILEX), Level – 3 Qualified Immigration Advisor of Organisation of Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) and an Advocate to the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Mr. Khan is working as an Appeal Consultant & Practice Manager of Rest Harrow & Co Solicitors. Mr. Khan is also a Principal & Supervisor of EU Migration Services.
