Work on to improve Tube, London Overground, London Tramlink and DLR

13th December 2010: Check before you travel on December 18 and December 19, Saturday and Sunday for work is on to improve the Tube, London Underground and London Tramlink on these days. London Underground (LU) is undertaking a major programme of renewal as part of Transport for London’s Investment Programme.

TfL is urging all Londoners and visitors to the city to “check before you travel” at weekends, allowing extra journey time where necessary. Planned works will inevitably result in some disruption for passengers.

London Tramlink have no planned works this weekend. London Underground: The Bakerloo line has no planned work this weekend. The Central line has no planned work this weekend. Cannon Street station on the District and Circle lines will be closed every weekend until mid 2012 for redevelopment works. Customers are advised to use Mansion House and Monument stations.
 

The District line has no other planned work this weekend. Farringdon station on the Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith and City lines will be closed all weekend for Thames link Upgrade work. Passengers should use nearby stations or local buses.The Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith and City lines have no other planned work this weekend.
 
The Jubilee line, Piccadilly line, Northern line, Victoria line has no planned work this weekend. The Waterloo and City line has no planned work on Saturday.  The line does not operate on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
 
London Overground: Richmond – Gunnersbury: London Overground services will be suspended between Richmond and Gunnersbury on Sunday morning until 12.30pm due to planned engineering work. Passengers should use the District line.
 
Gunnersbury – Willesden Junction: London Overground services will be suspended between Gunnersbury and Willesden Junction on Sunday morning until 12.30pm due to planned engineering work. Rail replacement bus services will run between Gunnersbury and Gospel Oak, calling at all stations except South Acton.

Willesden Junction – Gospel Oak: London Overground services will be suspended between Willesden Junction and Gospel Oak all day on Sunday due to planned engineering work. Rail replacement bus services will run between Gunnersbury and Gospel Oak calling at all stations except South Acton.

Gospel Oak – Stratford: London Overground services will be suspended between Gospel Oak and Stratford after 6.30pm on Saturday evening and all day on Sunday due to planned engineering work. Rail replacement bus services will run, calling at all stations except Caledonian Road and Barnsbury.
 
Docklands Light Railways (DLR): DLR services will be suspended between Stratford – Bow Church all weekend due to Network Rail engineering work. There will be a replacement bus service running between: Stratford – Pudding Mill Lane – Bow Church.
