Work on to improve the Tube, London Overground, London Tramlink and DLR

Check before you travel on July 17 and 18, Saturday and Sunday, for work is on to improve the Tube, London Underground and London Tramlink.
London Underground (LU) is undertaking a major programme of renewal as part of Transport for London’s Investment Programme, work that is being undertaken by LU and Tube Lines.
TfL is urging all Londoners and visitors to the city to “check before you travel” at weekends, allowing extra journey time where necessary.

Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and London Tramlink has no planned work this weekend. London Underground: The Bakerloo line has no planned work this weekend.
The Circle line will be completely suspended all weekend, due to Thameslink upgrade work at Farringdon and Crossrail work at Liverpool Street. Use alternative Tube lines and buses.
Cannon Street station on the District and Circle lines will be closed every weekend until mid 2012 for redevelopment works. Customers are advised to use Mansion House and Monument stations.
The Central line has no planned work this weekend. The District line will be suspended between Whitechapel and Upney eastbound and between Barking and Whitechapel westbound all weekend due to signalling upgrade work. There are two replacement bus services for local journeys:
Service A: Whitechapel – Stepney Green – Mile End (for Central line) – Bow Road – Bromley–by–Bow – Canning Town (for DLR and Jubilee line).
Service B: Mile End (for Central line) – Stratford (for DLR, Jubilee and Central lines) – Upton Park – East Ham – Barking – Upney.
Replacement buses will not serve West Ham and Plaistow, passengers should use local buses.
The Hammersmith and City line will be suspended between Edgware Road and Barking all weekend due to Thameslink upgrade work at Farringdon and Crossrail work at Liverpool Street. Passengers are advised to use c2c, DLR, or alternative Tube routes, local and District line replacement buses.
The Jubilee line has no planned work all weekend. The Metropolitan line will be suspended between Aldgate and Wembley Park all weekend for upgrade work. Passengers are advised to use the Jubilee line between Wembley Park and central London.
The Metropolitan line will be suspended between Wembley Park and Watford via local lines on Sunday for line upgrade work.
Trains to Uxbridge and Amersham will operate non-stop between Wembley Park and Harrow-on-the-Hill. Trains to Amersham will operate non-stop between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Moor Park.
Bus replacement for local journeys: Service B: Wembley Park – Preston Road – Northwick Park – Harrow-on-the-Hill. Service D: Harrow-on-the-Hill – North Harrow – Pinner – Northwood Hills – Northwood – Rickmansworth – Croxley – Watford
Passengers are advised to use the Jubilee line for travel between Wembley Park and central London.
Alternatively use Chiltern Railways trains to and from London Marylebone at Rickmansworth and Harrow-on-the-Hill. Warren Street station on the Northern and Victoria lines will be closed all weekend while station improvement work is carried out please use Euston and Goodge Street stations.
The Piccadilly line has no planned work all weekend. The Victoria line will be suspended all weekend between Seven Sisters and Walthamstow Central. There will be a replacement bus service for local journeys:
Seven Sisters – Tottenham Hale – Blackhorse Road – Walthamstow Central. Passengers are advised to use National Express East Anglia trains to and from Liverpool Street at Tottenham Hale and Walthamstow Central.
The Waterloo and City line has no planned work on Saturday. The line does not operate on Sundays.
London Overground: Richmond – Gospel Oak
London Overground services will be suspended between Richmond and Gospel Oak on Sunday. Customers are advised to use the District line between Richmond and Gunnersbury.
Rail replacement bus services will operate between Gunnersbury and Gospel Oak, calling at all stations except South Acton.
Gospel Oak – Stratford: London Overground services will be suspended between Gospel Oak and Stratford on Sunday. Rail replacement bus services will run calling at all stations except Caledonian Road and Barnsbury.
Gospel Oak – Barking: London Overground services will be suspended between Gospel Oak and Barking on Saturday after 5pm and all day on Sunday. Rail replacement buses will operate calling at all stations.
Shepherd’s Bush – Willesden Junction
London Overground services will be suspended between Shepherd’s Bush and Willesden Junction all day on Sunday. Valid London Overground tickets will be accepted on local bus routes 220 and 228.
