Work on to improve Tube, London Overground, London Tramlink and DLR

Check before you travel on June 5  and June 6, Saturday and Sunday for work is on to improve the Tube, London Underground and London Tramlink on these days.

TfL is urging all Londoners and visitors to the city to “check before you travel” at weekends, allowing extra journey time where necessary.

TfL’s range of Travel Tools help passengers plan journeys, get travel information on the move and work out the safest way home www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/traveltools.

The TfL website (www.tfl.gov.uk/check) can also  be checked . Before travelling the London Travel Info 24hrs telephone helpline:  0843 222 1234; and Information on posters, leaflets and “Good Service” boards at Tube stations can be checked.

Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and London Tramlink has no planned closures. 
 
The Bakerloo line will be suspended between Queen’s Park and Harrow and Wealdstone on Sunday due to Network Rail engineering work. A rail replacement bus service will operate as follows: Stonebridge Park – Harlesden – Willesden Junction – Kensal Green – Queen’s Park.

The Circle line will be suspended between Edgware Road and Moorgate all weekend for track replacement work.  Please use alternative Tube and bus routes.

Cannon Street station on the District and Circle lines will be closed every weekend until mid 2012 for redevelopment works. Customers are advised to use Mansion House and Monument stations. 

The Central line will be suspended between North Acton and West Ruislip due to engineering work all weekend.   There are two replacement bus services for local journeys: Service A: North Acton – Hanger Lane – Perivale – Greenford – Northolt Service B: North Acton – Northolt – South Ruislip – Ruislip Gardens – West Ruislip

Notting Hill Gate station on the District and Central lines will be closed all weekend while station improvement work is carried out.  Passengers are advised to use local bus services to and from Queensway and Holland Park.

Circle and Hammersmith and City line trains will not be stopping at Paddington (Hammersmith & City line) station all weekend while station improvement work is carried out. Customers are advised to use Paddington (District line) station.

Southfields station on the District line will be closed all weekend for station improvement work. A replacement bus service will operate:East Putney – Southfields

The Hammersmith and City line will be suspended between King’s Cross St. Pancras and Barking all weekend for track replacement work. Passengers are advised to use c2c, DLR, or alternative Tube routes and local buses.

The Jubilee line has no planned work this weekend. The Metropolitan line will be suspended between Baker Street and Aldgate and also between Wembley Park and Northwood/Uxbridge, while track replacement and Network Rail engineering work is carried out. There is no service on Chiltern Railways between Marylebone and Amersham.

A 10 minute Piccadilly line service will operate between Uxbridge and Rayners Lane. There are two replacement bus services for local journeys: Service A: Rayners Lane – North Harrow – West Harrow – Harrow-on-the-Hill – Northwick Park – Preston Road – Wembley Park

Service B: Northwood – Northwood Hills – Pinner – North Harrow – West Harrow – Harrow-on-the-Hill – Wembley Park. The Piccadilly line has no planned work this weekend.

 Warren Street station on the Northern and Victoria lines will be closed all weekend for station improvement work. Customers are advised to use local buses or nearby stations.

The Waterloo and City line has no planned work on Saturday. The line does not operate on Sundays. London Overground :Watford Junction – Euston

London Overground services will be suspended between Queen’s Park and Stonebridge Park on Sunday. Rail replacement bus services will operate calling at all affected stations.

London Overground services will be suspended between Queen’s Park and Euston on Sunday.  Valid London Overground tickets will be accepted on the following London Underground routes:    Bakerloo line between Queen’s Park and Oxford Circus;  Circle Hammersmith and City Metropolitan lines between Baker Street and Euston Square;  Victoria line between Oxford Circus and Euston.

Richmond – Gospel Oak: London Overground services will be suspended between Richmond and Gospel Oak on Sunday. Customers are advised to use the District line between Richmond and Gunnersbury. Rail replacement bus services will operate between Gunnersbury and Gospel Oak, calling at all stations except South Acton.

Gospel Oak – Stratford: London Overground services will be suspended between Gospel Oak and Stratford on Sunday. Rail replacement bus services will run between Hampstead Heath and Stratford, calling at all station except Caledonian Road and Barnsbury.
 
Clapham Junction – Willesden Junction: London Overground services will be suspended between Clapham Junction and Shepherd’s Bush after 7.30pm on Saturday and on Sunday until 12.30pm.  Valid London Overground tickets will be accepted on Southern services between these stations.

London Overground services will be suspended between Shepherd’s Bush and Willesden Junction after 7.30pm on Saturday and all day on Sunday. Valid London Overground tickets will be accepted on local bus routes 220 and 228.

Gospel Oak – Barking : London Overground services will be suspended between Gospel Oak and Barking from 5pm on Saturday and all day on Sunday.  A rail replacement bus service will operate calling at all stations on both days.

Dalston Junction – West Croydon: London Overground services will be suspended between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace/West Croydon on Sunday. Rail replacement bus services will operate calling at all stations.
