23rd November 2009: Check before you travel on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November 2009. For work is on to improve the Tube, London Overground, London Tramlink.

London Tramlink and Docklands Light Railway has no planned work this weekend.

London Underground

The Bakerloo line has no planned work this weekend.

The Central line has no planned work this weekend.

The Circle line will be completely suspended all weekend due to track replacement work. Passengers are advised to use alternative Tube lines, buses and walking routes.

District and Circle line trains will not be stopping at Blackfriars station until late 2011 due to Network Rail engineering work. Customers for Blackfriars are advised to use nearby Temple or Mansion House stations and/or local bus route 388. Or they can use London River Services during peak times; piers are a short walk from London Bridge, Tower Hill, Embankment, Westminster and Blackfriars stations.

The District line will be suspended between Earl’s Court and Whitechapel all weekend due to track replacement work. Passengers are advised to use alternative lines, buses and walking routes and interchange at Hammersmith (for the Piccadilly and Hammersmith & City lines), Ealing Broadway and Mile End (for the Central line). An enhanced service will operate on the Hammersmith & City line with trains operating between Hammersmith & Whitechapel every 5 minutes (with alternating trains extended to operate to/from Barking every 10 minutes).

The Hammersmith & City line has no planned works this weekend and will run an enhanced service.

The Jubilee line will be suspended between Stanmore and Waterloo all weekend for line upgrade work. Two rail replacement bus services will operate:

Service C: Between Stanmore and Stonebridge Park (for Bakerloo line) calling at Canons Park, Queensbury, Kingsbury and Wembley Park.

Service D: Between Wembley Park and Baker Street, calling at Neasden, Dollis Hill, Willesden Green, Kilburn, West Hampstead, Finchley Road, Swiss Cottage and St. John’s Wood.

Passengers travelling between central London and stations north of Willesden Green are advised to take the Bakerloo line to and from Stonebridge Park for replacement bus services.

The Metropolitan line will be suspended between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Aldgate all weekend due to signalling work.

Passengers travelling between Harrow-on-the-Hill and central London should use Chiltern Railways services to and from Marylebone. There will be an enhanced 15 minute service for most of the weekend. Passengers travelling between Uxbridge branch stations and central London are advised to use the Piccadilly line.

Two rail replacement bus services will operate:

Service A: Between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Wembley Park calling at Northwick Park and Preston Road.

Service B: Between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Stonebridge Park. This service runs early morning (southbound) and late night (northbound) only.

The East London line is closed for major extension work until summer 2010.

Archway station on the Northern line closes early from 22:00 Sundays to Thursdays until May 2010 for modernisation work.  But the station will revert to full opening times between 24 December 2009 and 2 January 2010. Valid tickets will accepted on local buses between Highgate and Tufnell Park.

Northern line trains will not stop at King’s Cross St. Pancras all weekend for station improvement work. Passengers should use other LU lines and local bus services.

Colliers Wood station on the Northern line closes early from 22:00 Sundays to Thursday and before 06:00 Mondays to Fridays until 23 December for improvement works. Passengers should use existing local bus services to and from Tooting Broadway or South Wimbledon.

Northern and Victoria line trains will not stop at Warren Street station all weekend for station improvement work. Passengers should use local bus services or nearby stations.

The Waterloo & City line has no planned work on Saturday. It does not run a Sunday service.

London Overground

London Overground services will be suspended between Richmond and Gunnersbury on Sunday. Passengers are advised to use the District line.

London Overground services will be suspended between Gunnersbury and Gospel Oak on Sunday only.  Replacement buses will run between Gunnersbury – Acton Central (for South Acton) – Willesden Junction – Kensal Rise – Brondesbury Park – Brondesbury – West Hampstead – Finchley Road & Frognal – Hampstead Heath – Gospel Oak.

London Overground services will be suspended between Gospel Oak and Stratford on Sunday.  Replacement buses, which will run between Hampstead Heath – Gospel Oak – Kentish Town West – Camden Road – Holloway Road (for Caledonian Road & Barnsbury) – Highbury & Islington – Canonbury – Dalston Kingsland – Hackney Central – Homerton – Hackney Wick – Stratford.

London Overground services will be suspended between Gospel Oak and Barking all day on Sunday. Valid London Overground tickets will be accepted on the replacement buses, which will run between: Gospel Oak –Upper Holloway – Crouch Hill –Harringay Green Lanes – South Tottenham – Blackhorse Road – Walthamstow Queen’s Road – Leyton Midland Road – Leytonstone High Road – Wanstead Park – Woodgrange Park – Barking.

London Overground services will be suspended between Shepherd’s Bush and Willesden Junction on Sunday. Valid Overground tickets will be accepted on local bus routes, 220 between Shepherd’s Bush Green and Willesden Junction and bus route 228 between Shepherd’s Bush station and Willesden Junction.
