12th November 2009: Check before you travel, as works to improve the Tube, London Overground, London Tramlink and DLR for Saturday and Sunday 14 and 15 November 2009
 

London Tramlink has no planned work this weekend.

Docklands Light Railway has no planned work this weekend.

 

London Underground

The Bakerloo line has no planned work this weekend.

 

Central, Circle and District line trains will not be stopping at Notting Hill Gate station all weekend. Passengers should use nearby stations and local bus services.

 

Circle and District line trains will not be stopping at Blackfriars station until late 2011 due to Network Rail engineering work. Customers for Blackfriars are advised to use nearby Temple or Mansion House stations and/or local bus route 388. Or they can use London River Services during peak times; piers are a short walk from London Bridge, Tower Hill, Embankment, Westminster and Blackfriars stations.

 

District line trains will not be stopping at Southfields station all weekend.  A rail replacement bus service will operate Southfields – East Putney – Putney Bridge.

 

The District line will be suspended all weekend between Tower Hill and Upney eastbound and between Barking and Tower Hill westbound.

 

The Hammersmith & City line will be suspended all weekend between Liverpool Street and Barking.

 

The Metropolitan line will be suspended between Moorgate and Aldgate. Use the Hammersmith & City line.

 

Three ail replacement bus services will operate:

Service A: Between Tower Hill and Stratford, calling at Aldgate, Aldgate East, Whitechapel, Stepney Green, Mile End, Bow Road (for DLR connection at Bow Church), Bromley-by-Bow, Canning Town (for DLR connection) and Plaistow

Service B: Between Tower Hill and Barking, calling at Aldgate, Aldgate East, Whitechapel, Stepney Green, Mile End, Canning Town (for DLR connection), Upton Park and East Ham. Eastbound buses are extended to operate to Upney.

Service D: Between Stratford and East Ham calling at Upton Park. This service operates from 09:00 until 20:30 hours only.

 

Passengers travelling between central London and West Ham, Barking and Upminster are advised to use c2c train services to and from London Fenchurch Street.

 

Passengers travelling between central London and Elm Park, Hornchurch or Upminster Bridge are advised to use c2c train services travelling via Upminster.

 

Passengers travelling between central London and stations between Stepney Green and East Ham are advised to use DLR services from Bank/Tower Gateway interchanging at Bow Church or Canning Town, or use Central line services from Bank or Liverpool Street interchanging at Mile End or Stratford.

 

The East London line is closed for major extension work until summer 2010.

 

The Jubilee line will be suspended all weekend between Waterloo and Stanmore, and between North Greenwich and Stratford.

 

Metropolitan line trains will also call at Willesden Green all weekend.

 

Three rail replacement bus services will operate:

Service C: Between Stanmore and Wembley Park (for Metropolitan line), calling intermediately at Canons Park, Queensbury and Kingsbury.

Service D: Between Wembley Park and Finchley Road, calling intermediately at Neasden, Dollis Hill, Willesden Green, Kilburn and West Hampstead.

Service F: Between North Greenwich and Stratford, calling intermediately at Canning Town and West Ham.

A replacement boat service operates from North Greenwich to East India pier for the DLR at East India station.

 

The Metropolitan line will be suspended between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Uxbridge all weekend.  The Piccadilly line will be suspended between South Harrow and Uxbridge all weekend. A rail replacement bus services will operate between Uxbridge and Harrow-on-the Hill calling at Hillingdon, Ickenham, West Ruislip (for Central line), Ruislip, Ruislip Manor, Eastcote, Rayners Lane, South Harrow and West Harrow.

 

Piccadilly line trains will not be stopping at King’s Cross St Pancras station all weekend while improvement works take place.  Passengers should use other underground lines and local bus services

 

Archway station on the Northern line will be closed all weekend and will also be closing early from 22:00 Sundays to Thursdays until May 2010 for modernisation work.  But the station will revert to full opening times between 24 December 2009 and 2 January 2010. Valid tickets will accepted on local buses between Highgate and Tufnell Park.

 

Northern line trains will not be stopping at Clapham North and Tooting Bec stations from 22:00 every evening Sundays to Thursdays until 26 November because of station improvement works. Please use existing local bus routes.

 

Colliers Wood station on the Northern line will be closing early from 22:00 Sundays to Thursday and before 06:00 Mondays to Fridays until 23 December for improvement works. Passengers should use existing local bus services to and from Tooting Broadway or South Wimbledon.

 

Northern and Victoria line trains will not stop at Warren Street station all weekend. Passengers should use local bus services or nearby stations.

 

The Waterloo & City line has no planned work on Saturday. It does not run a Sunday service.

 

London Overground

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

 London Overground services will be suspended between Gunnersbury and Gospel Oak on Sunday only.  Replacement buses will run between Gunnersbury – Acton Central (for South Acton) – Willesden Junction – Kensal Rise – Brondesbury Park – Brondesbury – West Hampstead – Finchley Road & Frognal – Hampstead Heath – Gospel Oak.

 

London Overground services will be suspended between Gospel Oak and Stratford on Sunday.  Replacement buses, which will run between Hampstead Heath – Gospel Oak – Kentish Town West – Camden Road – Holloway Road (for Caledonian Road & Barnsbury) – Highbury & Islington – Canonbury – Dalston Kingsland – Hackney Central – Homerton – Hackney Wick – Stratford.

 

Gospel Oak to Barking

London Overground services will be suspended between Gospel Oak and Barking all weekend. Valid London Overground tickets will be accepted on the replacement buses, which will run between: Gospel Oak –Upper Holloway – Crouch Hill –Harringay Green Lanes – South Tottenham – Blackhorse Road – Walthamstow Queen’s Road – Leyton Midland Road – Leytonstone High Road – Wanstead Park – Woodgrange Park – Barking.

 

London Overground services will be suspended on Sunday between Willesden Junction and Shepherd’s Bush. Valid London Overground tickets will be accepted on bus route 220 between Shepherd’s Bush Green and Willesden Junction and bus route 228 between Shepherd’s Bush station and Willesden Junction
