Work on to improve the Tube, London Overground, Tramlink and DLR

TfL is urging all Londoners and visitors to the city to “check before you travel” at weekends, allowing extra journey time where necessary.

London Tramlink has no planned work this weekend.
The Bakerloo line will be suspended on Sunday only between Queen’s Park and Harrow & Wealdstone due to Network Rail engineering work. Replacement buses will be operating between Queen’s Park – Kensal Green – Willesden Junction –Harlesden – Stonebridge Park – Wembley Central stations.
The Central line has no planned work this weekend.
The Circle line is completely suspended all weekend due to track replacement work. Passengers should use alternative Underground or local bus services.
District and Circle line trains will not be stopping at Blackfriars station until late 2011 due to Network Rail engineering work. Customers for Blackfriars are advised to use Temple or Mansion House stations or local bus route 388. Or they can use London River Services during peak times; piers are a short walk from London Bridge, Tower Hill, Embankment, Westminster and Blackfriars stations.
The East London line is closed for major extension work until summer 2010.
The Hammersmith & City line will be suspended all weekend between King’s Cross St Pancras and Edgware Road due to track replacement work. Passengers should use alternative Underground or local bus services.
The Jubilee line is suspended between Stanmore and West Hampstead this weekend due to line upgrade work. Rail replacement bus services will be running as follows:
Service C: (Saturday) Stanmore – Canons Park – Queensbury – Kingsbury -Wembley Park – Stonebridge Park (for the Bakerloo line)
Service C: (Sunday) Stanmore – Canons Park – Queensbury – Kingsbury -Wembley Park – Baker Street
Service D: Wembley Park – Neasden – Dollis Hill – Willesden Green (for the Metropolitan line) – Kilburn – West Hampstead
The Metropolitan line will be suspended between Aldgate and Uxbridge/Northwood all weekend due to line signalling works and the Piccadilly line will be suspended all weekend between South Harrow and Uxbridge. Two replacement bus services will operate:
Service A: Wembley Park – Preston Road – Northwick Park – Harrow-on-the-Hill – West Harrow – South Harrow – Rayners Lane – Eastcote – Ruislip Manor – Ruislip – West Ruislip – Ickenham – Hillingdon – Uxbridge
Service B: Wembley Park – Harrow-on-the-Hill – North Harrow – Pinner – Northwood Hills
Passengers travelling between central London and Uxbridge branch stations are advised to use the Central line to/from West Ruislip or the Piccadilly line to/from South Harrow. Passengers travelling between central London and Harrow-on- the-Hill must use the enhanced Chiltern Railways trains to and from Marylebone and passengers travelling between Northwick Park/Preston Road and central London are advised to travel via Harrow-on-the -Hill and Chiltern Railways services. Passengers are advised that there will be no Chiltern Railways service on Saturday between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Amersham and no service on Sunday between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Aylesbury vale Parkway.
The Northern line will be suspended between Euston (City branch) and Golders Green all weekend. A rail replacement bus service will operate between Golders Green and Euston calling at Hampstead, Belsize Park, Chalk Farm and Camden Town. No trains will stop at Camden Town this weekend. Mornington Crescent will be served by High Barnet trains.
Archway station on the Northern line will be closed all weekend for modernisation work. Valid tickets will be accepted on local buses between Highgate and Tufnell Park.
Clapham South and South Wimbledon stations on the Northern line will close early from 22:00 Sundays to Thursdays until late April 2010 for improvement works. For Clapham South, passengers should use existing local bus services to and from Clapham Common or Balham. Balham station is in zone three. For South Wimbledon use local bus services.
The Victoria line has no planned work this weekend.
The Waterloo & City line has no planned work on Saturday. It does not run a Sunday service.
Clapham Junction – Willesden Junction
London Overground services will be suspended between Shepherd’s Bush and Willesden Junction on Sunday. Valid Overground tickets will be accepted on local bus routes, 220 between Shepherd’s Bush Green and Willesden Junction and bus route 228 between Shepherd’s Bush station and Willesden Junction.
Watford Junction – Euston line
London Overground services will be suspended between Wembley Central and Queen’s Park on Sunday. Between Wembley Central and Queen’s Park replacement buses will be running calling at all stations.
Richmond to Stratford line
London Overground services will be suspended between Richmond and Gunnersbury on Sunday. Passengers are advised to use the District line.
London Overground services will be suspended between Gunnersbury and Gospel Oak on Sunday. Replacement buses will run between Gunnersbury – Acton Central (for South Acton) – Willesden Junction – Kensal Rise – Brondesbury Park – Brondesbury – West Hampstead – Finchley Road & Frognal – Hampstead Heath – Gospel Oak.
London Overground services will be suspended between Gospel Oak and Stratford all weekend. Replacement buses will run, calling at all stations except Caledonian Road & Barnsbury station, passengers should take the bus from Holloway Tube station instead.
Docklands Light Railway (DLR)
DLR services at Bank will be suspended until the end of January while work takes place to enable three-carriage trains to operate between Bank and Lewisham from early 2010.

DLR services will be suspended between Bank/Tower Gateway & Poplar/West India Quay and Canning Town & Beckton all weekend due to Investment Programme works to extend platforms enabling three-carriage trains to be introduced from early 2010.
Three replacement bus services will operate:
Service A: Bank – Canary Wharf
Service B: Bank – Canary Wharf, express via Tower Gateway (08:35 – 19:35 Sat, 09:35 – 19:35 Sun)
Service C: Canning Town – Beckton
The bus service will not stop at West India Quay and Poplar please use Canary Wharf station. A ticket or Oyster card valid on DLR is required before boarding the bus.
During this disruption train services will operate:

* Lewisham – Woolwich Arsenal
