Cost for travel documents for refugees and stateless persons reduced

The government has reduced the cost of applying for travel documents issued to refugees and stateless persons, and for a one way travel document which is known as a document of identity (IS137).

From 1st October 2012 the fees have been reduced by £5 for adults and £3 for children.

The new fees

1951 UN Convention travel document issued to refugees
Adult: £72.50
Child: £46

1954 UN Convention travel document issued to Stateless persons
Adult: £72.50
Child: £46

The fees for a certificate of travel will not change, the fee will remain at:
Adult £238
Child £149
