Free volunteering workshop for refugee and migrant groups to be held in London

North London Volunteer Alliance and Evelyn Oldfield Unit will host a free half day training workshop to strengthen refugee and migrant community groups.

The free to attend workshop will be held at the Resource for London, 356 Holloway Rd, London, N7 6PA, on 23rd April 2014 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The event which is part of Building the Big Society Volunteering programme, is open to organisations that wish to support the refugee and migrant sector.

Mainstream organisations are also encouraged to attend.

Speakers from Community Service Volunteers (CSV), a national organisation that brokers volunteer placements on behalf of businesses will share how they can support your organisation.

The workshop will enable you to: learn about ‘employee volunteering’ and how it can strengthen your organisation; engage with businesses, through different types of volunteering; and plan how to approach businesses and pitch what you have to offer.
