If Government figures are indicator, foreign investors not averse to UK

11th October 2011: If Government figures are an indicator, foreign investors are still finding their way into the UK.

As many as 196 visas have been issued to the foreign investors and entrepreneurs in the first half of this year.

The data was revealed by Prime Minister David Cameron. He came out with the figures during a speech today at the Institute for Government.

Giving details of the steps, the Home Office said: `The Prime Minister was clear that the brightest and the best will continue to be warmly welcomed, pointing to 196 visas that have been issued to foreign investors and entrepreneurs in the first half of this year’.

The statistics come at a time when apprehensions are being expressed that the immigration cap and tougher visa controls are making the UK a less attractive place among the foreign investors and entrepreneurs.
