The Indian High Commision are expanding their consular services to cut waiting time and will launch 14 application centres across the UK for visa, passport and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) applications, from March 1st.

The centres will include three in London (Goswell Road, Hounslow, Paddington) and one in Birmingham, Belfast, Bristol, Bradford, Edinburgh, Manchester, Newcastle, Cardiff, Liverpool, Leicester and Glasgow. Most will be open early March 2nd with the rest by March 14th.

The services will include the new biometric data collection as part of the IVFRT (Indian Visa and Foreigners Registration and Tracking) scheme. This would mean those applying at the centres would have to apply online and then visit the Indian Visa and Consular Service centres physically, to submit visa applications and enrol their biometric data.

Addresses of the new consular services and the launch dates of each can be found at the Indian High Commission Website here. The centres are open 08:30 -15:30 Hours (Monday to Friday, excluding Consular holidays).
