Weekly visits being made to residential, business addresses

2nd December 2009:
The UK Border Agency is conducting intelligence led visits to residential and business addresses every week to check illegal migrants.

The Home Office has also appeal to the public having information to the contact Crimestoppers.

John Hughes, UK Border Agency Inspector, says: ‘We are committed to removing people who have no right to be in the UK and will continue to work closely with other enforcement agencies to crack down on those who flout the law.

‘We conduct intelligence led visits to residential and business addresses every week and appeal to the public who have information to contact Crimestoppers….’

The assertion comes soon after an illegal immigrant from Trinidad and Tobago was removed from the country after UK Border Agency officers raided a residential address in Canterbury on 23 November 2009.
