Invitation for young refugees and asylum seekers in London

On Friday 20th June 2014, a team from the Discovery Channel will be volunteering with the Evelyn Oldfield Unit to celebrate World Refugee Day and to mark the 20th anniversary of the Evelyn Oldfield Unit.

The theme for Refugee Week 2014 is Young People. The Evelyn Oldfield Unit are therefore looking for 40 young refugees and asylum seekers aged 16 – 25 who would like to volunteer throughout the day to help them with their birthday event.

Young refugees and asylum seekers will be interviewed about their lives and aspirations and have their photos taken with the staff from the Discovery Channel.
 
Photos, quotations, flags, proverbs will be made into a huge wall display. This is a wonderful opportunity for young people. Lunch and travel expenses provided, and a certificate of participation.
 
Please note that the Evelyn Oldfield Unit can only offer this to opportunity to London based young people.
