Applications for the Journalism Diversity Fund are now open to people from ethnically and socially diverse backgrounds to train as journalists. It aims to make newsrooms better represent and reflect the communities that they serve.
The fund is administered by the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) and is aimed towards individuals who do not have the financial means to attend NCTJ-accredited journalism courses who are ethnically diverse.
The Journalism Diversity Fund could help cover:
- The costs of the NCTJ course and examination fees paid for
- Contributions to your living expenses during training
- Work placements at leading publishing companies while completing your course
Applicants must be a British citizen residing in the UK and have proof of securing a place on an NCTJ-accredited course.
