A mobile biometric clinic has been set up in Amsterdam to facilitate customers to provide their biometric information, required to apply for a UK visa, without having to travel to the visa application centre in Düsseldorf.

Taking part in the mobile biometric clinic scheme is very easy. Applicants will be able to present their visa applications online using the online visa application system as they did before. But once they pay their visa fee, they will be given the opportunity to make an appointment at the World Bridge Biometric Clinic at Regus Business Centre Amsterdam Atrium, Strawinskylaan 3051, 1077 ZX Amsterdam.

The clinic will be open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm. The attendance will be by appointment only and will be subject to a service fee of €147.56 in addition to the visa fee. Customers will be supplied with a pre-addressed envelope to post their application to the UK Border Agency offices in the UK for deliberation. Passports and supporting documents will be returned directly to the applicants by courier once the UKBA  have decided whether to grant a visa.

Customers who do not wish to use the mobile biometric clinic in Amsterdam will still be able to apply direct at the visa application centre in Dusseldorf. Further information on how to apply for a UK visa in Germany or the Netherlands can be found at UK Border Agency in Germany  and UK Border Agency in the Netherlands sections.
