New award to support best practice in community integration in UK. Nominations now open

Amnesty for irregular immigrants

A new initiative to reward and support best practice in community integration and cohesion in the UK has been launched.

DiversityThe Community Integration Awards will be an annual event focusing on grassroots and local initiatives around integration of migrant communities in the UK.

The award especially recognises the value of cooperation between grassroots organisations and others in society such as media, local authorities and businesses.

Nominations are now open for this year’s Community Integration Awards.

Nominations can be made in three categories namely: Grassroots Champion; Large Organisation Champion and Media Champion.

Grassroots Champion aims to support financially and through publicity local and grassroots organisations around the UK.

Large Organisation Champion aims to highlight examples of excellence in projects run by either the private or public sector, while the Media Champion aims to support journalists producing quality reporting around community integration issues.
