Over 100 foreign nationals have escaped from immigration detention.


Reports suggest nearly 150 inmates were on the run after breaking free from secure centres for hold illegal immigrants and foreign national prisoners during the last four years.


So far, only 40 have been found by the police and returned to custody. Describing it as alarming, Tory immigration spokesman Damian Green has sought an explanation from the Government.
