Claims of racist bullying at school under police scanner

Probe after Khadeja Fahat claimed she was targeted 30 times since September
14th April 2011: Claims of racist bullying at a school have come under the police scanner.
A probe has been initiated after Khadeja Fahat,13, left Bramhall High in Stockport, claiming bullies targeted her more than 30 times since September.

The `victim’ claims fellow students called her racist names. This is not all. the contents of  her bag were tipped out and her school work was even vandalized. On one occasion, she was even punched.

Her mother Saiqa Shabir has alleged the school refused to deal with the problem and has now brought the incident of bullying to the police.

Confirming they have recorded Khadeja’s complaint as a hate crime, Greater Manchester Police said they planned to visit the school. They insisted it has fully probe the claims and necessary steps have initiated to support her.

Shabir said she felt her daughter has been robbed of her education. They can’t believe in the 21st century this has happened.

The school has not done enough to stop it happening. The attitude is if those responsible apologise afterwards then it is all okay. The school is letting her daughter down.

Shabir has also got in touch with her MP George Osborne.
